ATLANTA January 12, 2016 -The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), an independent, global, member-led organization that maximizes customers’ investment in Oracle and partner solutions, has announced Dr. Patricia Dues as its 2016 president.
“During my term, my goal is to facilitate the work of the board of directors to build on the organization’s history of success by strengthening partnerships with Oracle and other users groups, developing new programs and services for members, and expanding opportunities for networking.”
Dues has been an Oracle Applications user and active member of the OAUG since 1996 and has served as a member of the organization’s board of directors since 2000. She previously served as the OAUG president for three consecutive years from 2004 through 2006.
Last year alone, Dues served in a variety of leadership roles within the OAUG, including president-elect, chair of the OAUG International Committee, member of the OAUG Customer Support Council, member of the OAUG Meetings and Conferences Committee, board liaison for the OAUG Marketing and Communications Committee and member of the OAUG Exhibitor’s Council.
Dues has been in the field of technology for more than 30 years with a focus on program management and Oracle Applications development. She received her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2005 and SCRUM/Agile certifications in 2015. She holds a doctorate in Management and Information Systems and Technology and is an Oracle ACE.
“I have a passion for representing Oracle Applications users and look forward to serving the OAUG community this year,” said Dues. “During my term, my goal is to facilitate the work of the board of directors to build on the organization’s history of success by strengthening partnerships with Oracle and other users groups, developing new programs and services for members, and expanding opportunities for networking.”
Dues is currently an associate faculty member for the University of Phoenix – the Apollo Group, and she teaches in the School of Business and the Information Systems and Technology College.
