ATLANTA – Oct. 12, 2015 - The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the world's largest user knowledgebase for Oracle Applications users, announced its schedule of hosted meetings at the upcoming Oracle OpenWorld 2015 conference Oct. 25 - 29 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
On User Group Sunday, Oct. 25, the OAUG hosts 15 geographic (Geo) sessions and 46 OAUG special interest group (SIG) meetings throughout the day in Moscone Center West. These networking and education meetings enable attendees to interact with peers and subject matter experts within their geographic region or with those who share similar niche interests related to specific Oracle Applications.
The SIG sessions feature users and expert consultants sharing their firsthand knowledge and problem-solving tips on a range of Oracle Applications topics, including accounts payable, business intelligence (BI)/big data, ERP Cloud, discrete manufacturing, logistics, general ledger, mobile apps, procurement, value chain planning and more. The Geos hosting Sunday sessions include groups from Atlanta, California, the District of Columbia, Florida, Michigan, Ohio and more.
The Sunday Geo and SIG sessions at OpenWorld are open to everyone with a full-conference pass. Check the OAUG website for a list of sessions and times.
In honor of the OAUG's 25 years of member service, the OAUG presents "25 Reasons to Be an OAUG Member" on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 9 a.m. PT in Moscone West 3012. This interactive session conveys top reasons to join the OAUG and introduces attendees to exclusive member resources.
Also on Oct. 25, the "OAUG Young Professionals Forum Meet-Up" at 12 p.m. PT in Moscone West 3003 focuses on helping people who are just beginning their career with Oracle Applications to build a network of support outside their individual organizations and ensure they have the resources available to be successful. Through this session, new users gain access to Oracle's user group network to establish and build connections, digest current educational information and discover how to help influence Oracle's future.
Attendees interested in membership are encouraged to visit the OAUG kiosk in Moscone Center South to speak with OAUG board members, volunteers and staff about OAUG programs and resources designed to accelerate professional development and performance potential.
"The OAUG strives to expand users' networks and build upon their working knowledge of Oracle Applications during Oracle OpenWorld 2015," said Melissa English, president of the OAUG. "By providing a platform through which users can openly share their experiences and best practices, they have the opportunity to make lasting connections and improve their organization's ROI."
