A non-catalog store was implemented that merged best features of approval workflow used by both current systems. The project's most important goal was a smooth transition. That meant creative use of AME, personalizations, workflows and the custom package provided by Oracle.
Oracle's suite of Field Service Applications has deep functionality but remains underutilized due to poor user experience in the Forms interface and limited functionality in the Technician's Dashboard. The dashboard does not allow creation of independent service request or tasks. It also lacks a view to enable a service manager to assign service requests and tasks to field engineers. This presentation outlines a solution that enhances the functionality and offers a simplified user interface.
