Groovy: A Tool for Data Auditing?

I came across an interesting article about Groovy scripting in the latest Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) release . (After all, who wouldn't click on something entitled "Along Came Groovy!") The ideas about using Groovy to allow users to load "last saved by" information to view data changes were intriguing, and it loo...

On Point and On the Calendar

As most of you know, in April, the OAUG, Quest and IOUG hosted the annual COLLABORATE conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. What you might not know, is that the OAUG is hosting a month-long Best of COLLABORATE 17 educational series, presented via webinar and beginning in August.

The Best of COLLABORATE 17 – OAUG Forum is a collection of some of the top conference presentations, determined largely by feedback obtained from the surveys completed by session attendees. Team leaders from the OAUG Education Committee review the overall ratings per session along with the attendance numbers to identify the highest-rated and highest-attended conference sessions. The selected sessions represent and address some of the most critical challenges our users community is facing. The content is on point, and it's on the calendar.

What's coming up in week one?

Q&A: Essbase Security Hierarchies

Recently, an OAUG member submitted a question about establishing a security model to accommodate multiple user hierarchies across two Essbase platforms. I was honored to be tapped as a subject matter expert who could provide assistance.

I thought others might have similar questions or, better yet, have additional ideas regarding Essbase security. So, I'm sharing the Q&A here. If you find this information helpful, please share with others. And be sure to leave a comment if you have experience working with security hierarchies or have additional questions.
