ATLANTA – Oct. 22, 2015 - The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), an organization providing the world's largest user knowledgebase for Oracle Applications users, welcomes three new and three reelected members to its 2016 board of directors.
The new board members are Jansen Hernandez, database engineering manager at Facebook; Douglas Manning of Johns Hopkins University's Applied Physics Laboratory and Beth McLaughlin, financial systems manager at Dunkin' Brands.
Hernandez has 15 years of experience working with Oracle databases and Oracle E-Business Suite and brings a strong technology perspective to the OAUG and the Oracle Applications community. Hernandez began his career as an Oracle Applications database administrator, focusing on installation, system design, security and performance tuning, and has since expanded his capabilities in the areas of automation, scale and Big Data.
Manning brings more than 18 years of experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite products, specializing in upgrades, implementation, development, third-party software integration, and human and organizational change management. A member of the OAUG for more than 15 years, Manning has participated in the Oracle Federal Customer Advisory Board and currently serves as an OAUG Ambassador. He has written and presented 10 papers over the years at various OAUG events, including OAUG Connection Point® and the annual COLLABORATE conference.
McLaughlin is a seasoned professional with more than 13 years of experience with Oracle Applications and products such as Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (including Hyperion Planning), Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition. She has attended numerous Oracle conferences, including Oracle OpenWorld and NEOAUG, and also served as a customer panel speaker at Hyperion Solutions. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with a passion for utilizing project management methodologies.
OAUG board members reelected for 2016 are Karen Brownfield, Oracle practice director at Infosemantics; Melissa English, deployment manager of Oracle E-Business Suite at Alticor; and Ketan Thanki, director of enterprise applications at Geokinetics. Completing their elected terms in 2016 are Patricia Dues, University of Phoenix; Andrew Farber, Consumer Reports; Christine Hipp, Los Alamos National Laboratory; Carrie Hollack, Nordstrom; Joseph Imbimbo, PPG Industries; Alyssa Johnson, Keste; Julie Maa, Google; and George Somogyi, Societe Generale Americas Securities. OAUG members elect representatives to the OAUG Board of Directors from a list of candidates who are current, active members.
