The Exhibitor Advisory Council (EAC) was established to provide the OAUG’s exhibit management team with industry input, feedback and suggestions on OAUG conferences to better the exhibitor and attendee experience at OAUG conferences. The Council is comprised of experienced OAUG members from exhibiting firms representing the diversity of the COLLABORATE Exhibitor Showcase model (crossover exhibitors, Star Partners, non-Star Partners, PeopleSoft, Database, Hyperion, etc.).

The council meets twice annually, once at Oracle OpenWorld and once at the annual COLLABORATE conference. The council participates on conference calls throughout the planning season and will soon begin planning for the Exhibitor Showcase at COLLABORATE 09: Technology and Applications Forum for the Oracle Community.

The purpose of the EAC is to provide a communication link between OAUG and its exhibitors, specifically to:

  • Review and comment on current and proposed exhibit regulations
  • Review and comment on current and proposed practices affecting exhibitors/OAUG Associate Members
  • Review and comment on floor plan development and layout
  • Improve exhibitor ROI
  • Advise ways in which the exposition could be improved, from both the exhibitors' and attendees' viewpoints
  • Identify additional information useful to exhibitors
  • Provide a forum for discussion of problems of mutual concern

The EAC comprises 11 members, with two of the positions seated as Chair and Co-Chair and one as the liaison with the OAUG Board of Directors. Members serve limited tenure to ensure the continuity of programs from year to year and allow other exhibitors to participate in the future. Thank you to our 2009 EAC for volunteering.
