ATLANTA – Sept. 8, 2016 - The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), an independent, global, member-led organization that maximizes customers’ investment in Oracle and partner solutions, announced its schedule of hosted meetings at the upcoming Oracle OpenWorld 2016 conference Sept. 18-22 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
During the Oracle Users Forum on Sunday, Sept. 18, the OAUG hosts more than 55 geographic (Geo) sessions and OAUG special interest group (SIG) meetings throughout the day in Moscone Center West from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. PT. These specialized educational and networking meetings enable attendees to learn best practices and network with peers and subject matter experts within their geographic region or with those who share similar niche interests related to specific Oracle Applications.
The OAUG SIG meetings on Sunday include the Oracle E-Business Suite SIG, the Hyperion SIG, the Cloud ERP SIG and the Mobile Apps for EBS SIG. The Oracle E-Business Suite SIG meeting focuses on discussing the general product direction for Oracle EBS, including the options for running Oracle EBS on premises, in the cloud or both with a co-existence strategy. The Hyperion SIG explores current and future functionality of Oracle Hyperion EPM. The Cloud ERP SIG shares experiences and insights from recent cloud implementations. The Mobile Apps for EBS SIG focuses best practices involving the Mobile Apps that integrate with Oracle E-Business Suite.
There will be 30-minute breaks between sessions during the Oracle Users Forum to facilitate more quality networking. The Sunday Geo and SIG sessions at OpenWorld are open to everyone with a full-conference pass. Visit the OAUG website for a list of sessions and times.
Also on Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. PT in Moscone West Room 2000, the OAUG Young Professionals Forum Meeting helps professionals who are just beginning their career with Oracle Applications to learn about timely topics that impact job performance today while learning how to build their own professional networks of support outside their individual organizations over time.
Another session on Sept. 18 at 12:15 p.m. PT in Room 2000, “OAUG Membership: Your Source for Savings, Solutions and Information,” presents ideas for users on how to get the most out of their OAUG resources, such as all the educational content and networking opportunities available.
Throughout the week, attendees interested in membership are encouraged to visit the OAUG exhibit kiosk in Moscone West to speak with OAUG board members, staff and volunteers about OAUG programs and resources designed to accelerate performance potential.
