Hi, The default for 10g parameter PASSWORD_LOCK_TIME is null in profile "default", which means if a schema has X FAILED_LOGIN_ATTEMPTS (the default is 10) using this profile then the user account will be locked until an administrator manually unlocks the account. I am curious how many people have changed this default value in conjunction with Oracle Applications and non-EBS environments. Is any one changing this default value to limit the affects of malicious behavior? It seems that if certain schema accounts get locked that could halt your application. Do you know of a default audit trail that tracks failed schema logins?
