[OAUGNetDBA]-Feedback advice on migration from Windows 2003

I have read in the past postings in the list on migration from Windows
to Linux/Unix. I however would appreciate your feedback on the
following questions that will help us in whether to move:

1. Why did you decide to move off the Windows platform, i.e. what were
the main drivers?

2. Did you expect to derive any quantifiable benefits from the move, and
if so have they been met?

3. Have you seen any improvement in patching times or reduction in
patching issues on the new platform?

4. Have you seen other improvements in performance after allowing for
any hardware improvements?

5. Have you seen any improvement in resolution time of Oracle Service
Requests or any reduction in the number of issues giving rise to Service
Requests?

6. Are you satisfied with the move to the new platform, and if not why
not?

7. Would you have any advice for other Windows users contemplating a
move to Linux or Unix?

Many thanks in advance for your feedback.
