Fusion Council UpdateDuring the recent OAUG Connection Point® 2005 conference and Quest International Conference and Expo, the leadership of both OAUG and Quest hosted two (2) overview and Q&A sessions on the objectives and next steps with the Fusion Council. Both sessions were well attended and very interactive. Thank you to all that participated! A “call for candidates” is underway and a Fusion Leadership Task Force, selected by OAUG and Quest, along with input from IOUC representatives, will assemble a leadership team (number to be determined, but all agreed it needed to be larger than 20 companies) to lead the Council. Details about the call for candidates can be found on the OAUG Web site. Fusion Council will be led by a global leadership team that will interface with Oracle Corp and represent the interest and needs of the entire user community. Quarterly open conference calls, for all users, will be hosted to provide the user community with updates on Fusion and the Council’s progress. OAUG will utilize their Fusion Requirements System to collect business and functionality requirements to be included in Fusion. The leadership team will focus on identifying unique and common issues across industries, companies and product lines. OAUG will be conducting training and educational classes on the latest release of Oracle’s Business Suite, Release 11.5.10.
