Business metrics help organizations utilize their data to drive effective decision making through well-defined quantifiable measures. In this session, we will review defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and translating business needs into technical capabilities. Once we understand the business needs for defining KPIs, we will discuss how Oracle products can support turning these metrics into visualizations that leaders can use to improve operations.
Our Oracle based solution is comprised of Oracle Database, Application Express (APEX), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). We will focus on how to define and store goals, targets, and thresholds in Oracle APEX. Once metrics are defined, we will discuss how to transform data using ODI for efficient reporting. Finally, we will explain how to display different KPI visualizations and dashboards in OBIEE.
