OAUG Connection Point - AppsTech Online 2015 (18)

Application Express (APEX) is a rapid application development tool that can be used to easily extend E-Business Suite functionality. APEX's ease of use and short learning curve make it an ideal development tool for DBAs and functional users. This session details the creation of an APEX application to add the ability to automate the request and approval for personnel actions within the E-Business Suite. The application is integrated with the E-Business Suite security model and with the Human Resource module.
Oracle Access Manager (OAM) Integration with eBusiness Suite (EBS) is one of the most challenging tasks for Application DBAs. As a Senior Solution Architect in GE for more than 400 EBS system integrations with OAM SSO and OID, I have fine tuned the integration procedure to reduce errors, minimize the integration time, increase hardware resource consumption, and simplify the solution. For example, you dont have to run 10 WebLogic domains to run 10 EBS environments with OAM. You could rather use a single domain to host all AccessGates. So is the case with WebGates. You’ll be amazed with our level…
This presentation is about extending your Oracle E-Business Suite application with some advanced techniques such as Oracle User Hooks, Processing Constraints, Key Flexfields on Descriptive Flexfields and Securing DFF’s. It is time to say enough, we’re not going to take it anymore. There has to be a better way. Well there is and we will show you all the steps to implement a time based concurrent manager model that will maximize batch throughput. We will…

Application Upgrade from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.3 presented significant challenges in terms of Storage Footprint. Growth of the database increase from 6GB/Day to about 20GB/Day, after introduction of SLA tables. Purpose of the following presentation is to a) Present Strategy which we implemented in order to reduce growth of Database. b) Integrate Advanced compression with Archive Purge Strategy to keep database growth within expected growth limits. c) Cleanup procedures which we followed to reclaim space which was cleared up after advanced compression. d) Testing Methodology and Procedures we utilized to Performance test.
This session will provide an overview of 12c database upgrade steps for Oracle Applications R12.1/R12.1.3 environment. The session will go into install and pre/post issues/bugs faced by a real customer along with all the interoperability patches required for R12.1.
Certus Solutions are committed to Oracle Cloud Applications (Fusion), but through our growing customer base have identified gaps or organisation specific functionality which needs to be addressed. We believe what makes Oracle different is the User Experience of Fusion and thus we announced plans to extend using PaaS. This is the story of our journey to date, what that means, how to extend, how we approached it and how Oracle helped. Not just a simple project but how we became a customer of Oracle PaaS and entered the brave new world of Fusion Ready Apps.
The objective of this panel is to provide feedback on each clients experience upgrading to Oracle EBS R12.2. These end users represent a variety of industries providing different experiences and perspectives so the panel should be appealing to many organizations considering upgrading.
