The solution delivered a dynamic comparison view of current and prior forecasts for the 15 month overlaps. As per Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations a Unique Device Identifier (UDI) is to be maintained and printed on the label for medical devices distributed in the US and few parameters are also to be uploaded to a Global Unique Device Identification Database (GUDID) created by FDA. By 2018, in phases, the regulation will be in effect for all classes of devices. The proposed solution uses Oracle E-Business application Inventory module for maintaining UDI, creating label and generating files with required parameters for uploading to GUDID. A comprehensive deployment approach of the solution is also described.
Application Express (APEX) is a rapid application development tool that can be used to easily extend E-Business Suite functionality. APEX’s ease of use and short learning curve make it an ideal development tool for DBAs and functional users. JDSU is leading provider of optical products, test and measurement solutions for the communications industry. JDSU leverages Oracle EBS and EPM suite from Oracle (version 11.1.2.1), which includes various FP&A tools such as Hyperion Account Reconciliation Manager (ARM), Planning, Essbase and Interactive Reporting.
