The objective of Essbase tuning is to ensure that the software makes optimal use of infrastructure resources. This is the only way to ensure that assets deliver maximum ROI. Correctly nailing this down requires the Admin to control how Essbase uses resources. One begins thus to tune Essbase precisely from an assessment of how Essbase is in fact currently configured. This session concentrates on Block Storage Option cubes to provide a systemic way to assess an Essbase server infrastructure.

IT, Business Units and functional teams face several challenges that are common across companies and industries. With increasing frequency, BU's target analytical applications as a means to achieve their objectives while IT is left to determine how to deliver on this agenda along with their own objectives. Exalytics is the future of in-memory, virtually real-time analytics. Exalytics contains optimized versions of Essbase, Hyperion Planning, OBIEE, TimesTen all running in-memory on a really powerful server. Come learn all about how real companies are using Exalytics to speed up basically everything in the world of Business Analytics: loading, calculating, querying, and writing back will all be improved (between 5 and 80 times).
