OAUG News

President’s Corner

2007 OAUG President Jan Wagner

2007 OAUG President Jan Wagner

The OAUG has a solid track record of participation at Oracle OpenWorld. Again this year, we will be working closely with Oracle to create an outstanding educational and networking event for Oracle OpenWorld 2007. And, once again, we are inviting the family of Oracle Applications users to submit presentations for consideration for the educational program.

The OAUG is seeking presentations on areas of focus covering applications strategy, tools and technologies; customer relationship management; human capital management; industry-specific solutions and innovations; manufacturing; sales and partner relationship management and much more. A complete list of topics is available on the OAUG Web site.

The OAUG call for presentations for Oracle OpenWorld 2007 is now open. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, July 1, 2007, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern (New York) Time. Those interested in submitting presentations may complete a submission online.

Mark your calendars — Oracle OpenWorld 2007 will be held November 11-15, 2007 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif. This event promises to be an extraordinary opportunity for participants to learn about the latest developments in Oracle’s vision, strategy, applications, technologies and solutions. In addition, Oracle OpenWorld sets the stage for valuable networking among Oracle’s customers, partners and associated user group members. We hope to see you there. Visit the Oracle Web site for an overview of Oracle OpenWorld 2007.

OAUG Enhancement Requests Accepted in Fusion Development

Last year, the OAUG expanded its Enhancement Request System (ERS) to include feature requests for Oracle Fusion. This year, the OAUG is pleased to announce that Oracle has distributed the results of last summer’s ERS voting and endorsed immediate use of the OAUG’s ERS for the submission of requests for E-Business Suite, Siebel, Oracle Retail, and PeopleSoft for the 2007 voting cycle.

Of the 287 top-ranked enhancement requests from 2006, Oracle initially reports that 79 percent of the requests were accepted in Fusion, either in 1.0 or a subsequent release. The remaining requests either require additional information or were determined to be out of scope. A summary of the 2006 ERS voting results (MS Excel file) is available to OAUG members.

Oracle’s formal responses will be loaded back into the ERS this summer. More news on Oracle’s support on the ERS will be available at the next IOUC meeting in June.

If you wish to submit an enhancement for 2007, the ERS is now open! Login to the Enhancement Request System to submit your enhancements today!
