President’s Corner
2007 OAUG President Jan Wagner
On behalf of the OAUG, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the MetaSolv Solution Users Group (MSUG), our newest affiliate user group.
The MSUG was founded in 1996 to assist MetaSolv Software in establishing user requirements for enhancement of a specific part of their software. Oracle Corp. acquired MetaSolv Software in December in 2006. Today, the MSUG has become a part of the OAUG to expand the educational resources and networking opportunities it provides to its members.
During the Meeting of the Members at COLLABORATE 07, the Board of Directors updated conference attendees on a number of goals that we are working toward in 2007. One of these goals, the Community Integration Initiative, welcomes and assists all new user groups with integration into the Oracle community. Through the Community Integration Initiative, the OAUG is able to reach out to the affiliated user groups of companies recently acquired by Oracle while enabling them to maintain their individual identities.
Affiliating with the OAUG provides new user groups with:
- A unified voice to Oracle via established channels of influence
- Collaboration among various user groups for Fusion, networking and education
- Access to user group strategic guidance and support via an existing infrastructure
As Oracle adds to its growing family of applications, we will continue to welcome new users groups into the OAUG. Visit the OAUG Web site to learn more about the benefits of OAUG membership. You may also email me at jwagner@oaug.com if you have specific questions or comments.
And, again, welcome MSUG.
— Jan Wagner, OAUG President
