2007 OAUG President Jan Wagner
Do you know someone who should be recognized for his or her outstanding contribution to the OAUG? Do you know someone who has implemented a breakthrough idea in the use of an Oracle Application? If yes, nominations for OAUG Member of the Year (PDF file) and OAUG Innovator of the Year (PDF file) are now open.
OAUG Member of the Year contributions to the organization include volunteer activities such as enhancements, new member recruitment, panel chairs, paper presentations, Geo and/or SIG coordinators, etc. In 2006, the OAUG recognized Takao Hara, with Enterprise Business Systems Solutions of Japan, as the Member of the Year.
OAUG Innovator of the Year is any user member organization that has demonstrated innovative and breakthrough techniques using the standard functionality of an Oracle Application. Barrick Goldstrike Mines was recognized as the 2006 OAUG Innovator of the Year.
Please note that members of the OAUG Executive Committee and Board of Directors are not eligible during their term of office.

Expand Your Siebel Knowledge with a Free Siebel Web Series
The OAUG is committed to enhancing the capabilities of Siebel and Oracle CRM users in their day-to-day use and management of the growing family of Oracle Applications. In keeping with this commitment, the OAUG and Oracle are partnering to provide free educational and training sessions to the Siebel community with the launch of the Siebel Web Series, which began on February 21, 2007.

The CAB will work closely with the Oracle Development team to validate strategic direction, provide and review requirements, review designs, evaluate architectural blueprints (including data warehousing options), deployment options, and provide timely feedback on usability, deployment and ownership experience. Geographic (Geo) and Special Interest Group (SIG) News
Contracts SIG Expands to Include PeopleSoft Contracts Users
The Contracts SIG, which was formed in 2004 to focus on Oracle E-Business Suite modules such as Contracts Core, Subscription Contracts, Project Contracts, Lease Contracts, Rights Contracts, Sales Contracts, Service Contracts, Procurement Contracts and Contracts Intelligence modules, has recently expanded to include PeopleSoft Contracts users. The SIG charter has been revised to include Oracle and PeopleSoft modules that address the entire quote-to-renewal business flow of an organization. Kimberly Greene with Cerner Corporation, a user of the PeopleSoft Contacts modules, has joined the leadership team as co-chair of the newly expanded SIG. Geos and SIG Participation at COLLABORATE 07
Many of the OAUG Geos and SIGs will be hosting sessions or networking events during COLLABORATE 07. Over 45 SIGs will host general meetings throughout the conference (Sunday, April 15, 2007, through Thursday, April 19, 2007). These meetings will provide you with general information about the SIG, an update on SIG activities and an opportunity to network with users in your area of special interest. In addition, several Geos will host tables in the special OAUG Geo Networking Lounge that will be located in the Exhibitor Showcase.
